I love, love this place! Such a great experience for a B&B. Penny and Jorg are such darlings!
After searching high and low for a place to stay on one of the busiest weekends of the year (we didn't know) but we called up and were greeted by one of the friendly hosts Jorg!We were wary because the pics online weren't great but as soon as we stepped in the room my partner and i were blown away by the beautiful, spacious African nights room...pics did not do it justice! The spa was incredible.and everything was decorated so thoughtfully...even the DVDs left here to watch were "out of africa" "african queen" "last king of scotland" and "africa calling" which was a funny and thoughtful touch. There is a fireplace you can use as well as complimentary port and chocolates and coffee and cereal among other things.Complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful and much more effort put into it than any normal hotel or b&b or resort.Location is ideal, a short walk to see platypuses and visit a lovely restaurant (Nicks)...basically a killer combination!We are definitely coming back...you won't be disappointed!
Great spot. Lovely and quiet with nice rooms. Breakfasts were fantastic.
This property was amazing! A gorgeous little stroll past the platypus creek into town centre. Owners super knowledgeable about walks in the area but left us to our own; we often avoid B&Bs because are private people, glad we didn't miss this one :) Perfect getaway from Cairns, will return.
Peaceful garden setting 10 min walk to Yungaburra village. Comfortable, spotlessly clean with delicious breakfast hamper including local fruits and fresh squuzed juice. Penny welcomed us warmly and helped us information about the village and area. Wonderful!
